Visualization of the shape and colors of the zytglogge tower clock in evening party attire. Visualize the Zytglogge Clock Tower's unique shape and colors as elegant evening party attire. This R&D study used expert validation, highlighting historical elements and material choice for stunning designs.
The Zytglogge Clock Tower is one of the world's heritages with the unique shape of a clock. This study aims to visualize the shape and color of the Zytglogge into a new evening party attire. This Research and Development (RND) used the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Data were collected using a questionnaire validated by 2 fashion experts. Data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis. All data collected were analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. The findings of this research are that it is necessary to add historical elements or background of the idea to add meaning and uniqueness to the outfit, and it is also necessary to pay attention to the materials chosen to realize the design that has been made to get maximum results. Analyzing fashion design principles helps explain the concepts behind evening party dress. Results of evaluation by experts and researchers are beneficial to perfect the party attire.
This study presents an interesting and highly creative interdisciplinary approach, aiming to translate the unique aesthetic of the Zytglogge Clock Tower into new evening party attire. The objective to visualize a historical landmark's shape and colors within a contemporary fashion context is novel and holds potential for stimulating cross-disciplinary research between heritage studies and fashion design. The abstract clearly states the use of the ADDIE development model, indicating a structured research and development process, and highlights expert validation by two fashion professionals, which lends credibility to the questionnaire's design. However, the abstract could benefit from greater detail regarding its methodology and specific findings. While a questionnaire and "quantitative descriptive analysis" are mentioned, the specifics of data collection beyond expert validation remain vague. It is unclear who the respondents were, what precisely was measured, and how these quantitative analyses directly led to the stated findings. The 'findings' themselves—such as the necessity to add historical elements, pay attention to materials, and analyze fashion design principles—read more like general design considerations or recommendations for refinement rather than concrete, specific results derived from the research's data and expert evaluation. Further elaboration on the *specific* feedback or "beneficial results" from the expert and researcher evaluation would significantly strengthen the impact and clarity of the study's contribution. Despite these areas for methodological clarification and stronger articulation of results, the research embarks on a promising path. To maximize its academic contribution, future publications should provide more comprehensive details on the design iterations, the specific fashion design principles applied, and, crucially, illustrative examples of the developed attire. Expanding on how the "quantitative descriptive analysis" informed the specific design choices and what tangible "perfected" elements resulted from the expert evaluation would allow readers to fully appreciate the novelty and practical applications of this creative endeavor in bridging cultural heritage and contemporary fashion.
