Strategi pembelajaran sangat dibutuhkan agar proses belajar mengajar dapat tercapai dengan optimal sesuai dengan yang direncanakan. Pendidik sebagai orang terdekat dengan kehidupan anak di luar lingkungan keluarga memberikan pengaruh yang sangat besar terhadap pertumbuhan dan perkembangan kecerdasan anak. Prinsip-prinsip pembelajaran PAUD adalah berorientasi pada tujuan, aktivitas, individualitas, integritas, interaktif, inspiratif, menyenangkan, menantang, motivasi. Sedangkan model-model pendekatan pembelajaran yang berpusat pada anak adalah: model pendekatan Montesori, model pendekatan bank Street, model pendekatan High Scope, model pendekatan kurikulum Kreatif, model pendekatan Regio Emillia.
