This paper addresses a highly pertinent and contemporary issue concerning the political engagement of Generation Z, specifically exploring the role of political parties in their political education. The study's aim to analyze how political parties contribute to fostering a comprehensive and critical understanding of political processes among this demographic is commendable, given the increasing importance of youth participation in democratic societies. Employing a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach, the study sets out to map out the current landscape and potential avenues for such educational efforts, thereby providing a foundational understanding of this critical interaction. The findings highlight several crucial roles for political parties, including building political participation, encouraging critical thinking, mobilizing active engagement, providing space for discussion, and fostering political awareness. These identified roles are robust and align well with established pedagogical principles for civic education. Furthermore, the strategies proposed for realizing this role, such as leveraging digital technology, building online communities, holding educational events, collaborating with youth communities, providing space for Gen Z representatives, and using issue-based campaigns, are particularly relevant given Gen Z's digital nativism. While the abstract presents a comprehensive list of strategies, a full paper would ideally elaborate on the specific mechanisms through which these strategies are implemented and, importantly, provide preliminary insights into their perceived effectiveness or challenges encountered. Overall, this study makes a significant contribution by systematically outlining both the essential roles and practical strategies political parties can adopt to effectively engage Gen Z in political education. By bridging the gap between political institutions and the younger generation through targeted educational initiatives, the research offers valuable insights for enhancing democratic participation and critical citizenship. The proposed framework serves as an excellent starting point for policymakers and political organizations seeking to adapt their engagement strategies for a digitally-savvy generation. Further research could build upon these findings by exploring the impact of these strategies in diverse political contexts or by examining Gen Z's perceptions of political parties as educators. This paper is a timely and important step towards understanding and improving political literacy among future voters.
