The prevention strategy of the sambinae subdistrict leader against drug trafficking. Evaluates Sambinae Subdistrict's drug prevention strategies. Highlights effective multisectoral collaboration (BNN, community leaders) and challenges. Crucial for sustainable anti-drug efforts.
This study evaluates the drug prevention strategies implemented by the Head of Sambinae Subdistrict and identifies key barriers affecting their effectiveness. Using qualitative descriptive method, data was collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The findings reveal that the strategies are effective due to strong collaboration between the subdistrict office, Bhabinkamtibmas, Babinsa, community leaders, religious figures, and the National Narcotics Agency (BNN). The integration of Soft Power, Hard Power, and Smart Power approaches enhances the impact of prevention efforts. Optimal resource allocation including facilities, personnel, and funding and effective coordination and further support implementation. However, challenges such as limited human resources, geographical constraints, and low community participation persist. Legal reinforcement through Law No. 35 of 2009 and informal educational programs, such as the Anti-Drug Peer Youth initiative, are crucial in raising awareness. Multisectoral collaboration remains a key factor in the sustainable prevention of drug circulation in the Sambinae Subdistrict.
This study, "The Prevention Strategy of the Sambinae Subdistrict Leader Against Drug Trafficking," presents a timely and pertinent qualitative investigation into local-level drug prevention initiatives. The research effectively evaluates the strategies employed by the Head of Sambinae Subdistrict, offering crucial insights into the collaborative mechanisms that drive success while also candidly identifying persistent barriers. By grounding its analysis in a specific subdistrict, the study provides a practical and context-rich understanding of community-based anti-drug efforts, making it highly relevant for local governance, law enforcement, and community development practitioners. The overall impression is of a well-executed descriptive study that illuminates both the efficacy and the challenges inherent in a multi-pronged prevention strategy. A key strength of this research lies in its robust qualitative descriptive methodology, which employed observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. This comprehensive data collection approach allowed for a nuanced understanding of the complex social and organizational dynamics involved. The findings effectively highlight the critical role of strong multisectoral collaboration, detailing the involvement of various stakeholders including the subdistrict office, Bhabinkamtibmas, Babinsa, community and religious leaders, and the National Narcotics Agency (BNN). The successful integration of Soft Power, Hard Power, and Smart Power approaches stands out as a particularly insightful contribution, demonstrating a sophisticated and adaptable strategy. Furthermore, the emphasis on optimal resource allocation, effective coordination, and legal reinforcement through relevant legislation underscores the practical and well-rounded nature of the prevention efforts under review. However, the study also forthrightly acknowledges several crucial barriers that temper the overall effectiveness of these strategies. Persistent challenges such as limited human resources, geographical constraints, and notably, low community participation, indicate areas where further innovation and targeted interventions are critically needed. While the abstract mentions informal educational programs, such as the Anti-Drug Peer Youth initiative, and stresses the importance of multisectoral collaboration for sustainability, future research could benefit from a deeper exploration into specific, actionable strategies for *how* to overcome these human resource and community engagement deficits. Nevertheless, this study serves as an excellent foundational piece, clearly pointing towards the necessity of sustained effort and adaptive strategies to address lingering obstacles, thereby enhancing the long-term impact and reach of drug prevention programs in similar local contexts.
