Abstract

This community service activity aims to strengthen the managerial skills of the members of Karang Taruna Putra Laskar Pelangi, Jugo Village, Kediri Regency to improve the quality and quality of human resources in managing businesses, especially the processing business of various dairy products. The business model canvas (BMC) can be used to find better business opportunities, reduce risks, and create competitive advantages. The application of BMC in business practices, provides opportunities for business actors to design a more adaptive, efficient, and customer satisfaction-oriented business model. The community service method uses a participatory approach with andragogical learning, participants are actively involved in the learning process about BMC to dissect the conditions of the business being run. Based on the facts, it is known that 1) 96 percent of participants in running a business have never used BMC as a tool for preparing business plans and projections, after receiving BMC material and practicing implementing BMC, participants know the map and position of the business. 2) Based on the participants' learning outcomes, referring to the pre-test and post-test scores, it was stated that there was an increase in the participants' learning outcomes regarding BMC, but they still experienced difficulties in describing the conditions. Considering these results, regular mentoring is still needed so that mastery is more comprehensive and the efforts carried out can be sustainable.
