Abstract

Keberhasilan mudir pesantren dalam mendidik dan melahirkan generasi yang berkualitas, tidak dapat dilepaskan dengan kesuksesan pesantren dalam menanamkan konsep “panca jiwa” kepada para santrinya. Adapaun panca jiwa tersebut yaitu: keikhlasan, kesederhanaan, kemandirian, ukhuwah Islamiyah, dan kebebasan. Salah satu panca jiwa yang sangat relevan untuk dikembangkan pada masa pandemi covid 19 ini adalah kemandirian santri. Santri di tuntut untuk mampu belajar secara mandiri serta mampu melakukan keperluan pribadinya sehari-hari. Pimpinan pesantren, dalam konteks ini adalah mudir, memiliki peran strategis sebagai motivator bagi santri agar tumbuh menjadi pribadi yang mandiri. Dorongan yang dilakukan oleh mudir akan memberikan energi dahsyat bagi santri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji dan menemukan pola motivasi yang dilakukan oleh mudir kepada santri dalam mewujudkan kemandirian belajar. Motivasi mudir adalah usaha yang dilakukan oleh mudir untuk menggerakkan santri dalam mencapai tujuan. Desain penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Jenis Penelitian yang di lakukan adalah deskriptif. Sedangkan pengumpulan data menggunakan 3 (tiga) metode, yaitu observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pola motivasi yang digunakan oleh mudir dalam mewujudkan kemandirian belajar santri adalah: pertama, melalui keteladanan; kedua, melalui peraturan disiplin santri; ketiga, melalui kegiatan ekstrakurikuler; dan keempat, melalui implementasi visi dan misi pondok pesantren.
