Abstract

Beberapa kargo ditempatkan tidak sesuai dengan tujuan penerbangan oleh petugas, yang mengakibatkan keterlambatan pengiriman, risiko kesalahan tujuan, bahkan potensi kehilangan kargo, ini masih terjadi di PT. Ardya Bumi Persada. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pengaruh penerapan Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) penyimpanan dan pengumpulan terhadap supply chain management kargo di PT. Ardhya Bumi Persada. Tempat penelitian dilaksanakan pada warehouse PT. Ardhya Bumi Persada yang berlokasi di Bandara Halim Perdana Kusuma Jakarta. Metode penelitian kuantitatif asosiatif dengan populasi dalam penelitian yaitu personil cargo handling officer yang berjumlah 45 orang, dengan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan total sampling dimana jumlah sampel sama dengan populasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa variabel penerapan Standart Operating Procedure  penyimpanan secara parsial berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap supply chain management kargo dan pos dan variabel penerapan Standart Operating Procedure pengumpulan secara parsial berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap supply chain management kargo dan pos. Variabel penerapan Standart Operating Procedure penyimpanan dan Standart Operating Procedure pengumpulan secara simultan berpengaruh terhadap supply chain management kargo dan pos sebesar 64,2% dan 35,8% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain diluar penelitian yang tidak dibahas pada penelitian ini.

This study investigates the critical role of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for storage and collection in cargo supply chain management at PT. Ardhya Bumi Persada, prompted by recurring issues of misplaced cargo, delivery delays, and potential losses. The research directly addresses a significant operational challenge within the cargo handling industry, aiming to ascertain the impact of implemented SOPs on the efficiency and effectiveness of the supply chain. This focus on practical application and problem-solving makes the study highly relevant for logistics professionals and organizations striving to optimize their cargo management processes. Utilizing a quantitative associative research method, the study was conducted at the warehouse of PT. Ardhya Bumi Persada at Halim Perdana Kusuma Airport, Jakarta. The population consisted of 45 cargo handling officers, all of whom were included in the sample (total sampling). The findings indicate a clear positive and significant partial influence of both storage SOPs and collection SOPs on cargo and postal supply chain management. Furthermore, the simultaneous application of both storage and collection SOPs collectively explains 64.2% of the variance in cargo and postal supply chain management, while the remaining 35.8% is attributed to other unexamined variables. The research provides valuable empirical evidence supporting the importance of well-defined and adhered-to SOPs in mitigating operational inefficiencies within cargo logistics. Its strength lies in its direct applicability to the identified problem at PT. Ardhya Bumi Persada, offering clear actionable insights for improving their supply chain. However, the specific context and the unexplained variance of 35.8% suggest avenues for further research, perhaps exploring human factors, technology integration, or external regulatory influences. Future studies could also consider comparative analyses across different cargo handling companies or delve deeper into the nature of the unexamined variables to provide a more holistic understanding of supply chain performance drivers.
