Pelatihan PkM Universitas Semarang tingkatkan pemahaman & keterampilan siswa SMK TKJ Pembangunan Mranggen dalam instalasi kabel jaringan komputer (LAN UTP). Hasilnya, kompetensi dasar meningkat pesat untuk kesiapan industri.
Minimnya pemahaman dan keterampilan siswa kelas X jurusan TKJ di SMK Pembangunan Mranggen dalam pengkabelan jaringan komputer menjadi kendala utama dalam pembelajaran. Hal ini diperburuk dengan terbatasnya praktik di sekolah. Untuk mengatasinya, tim Universitas Semarang melaksanakan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) berupa pelatihan instalasi jaringan LAN menggunakan kabel UTP. Kegiatan meliputi ceramah, praktik langsung, dan evaluasi melalui pre-test dan post-test. Pelatihan selama tiga jam ini diikuti 15 siswa. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman dari 3,3% menjadi 95,8%. Kegiatan ini berhasil meningkatkan kompetensi dasar siswa dalam membuat dan menguji kabel jaringan sesuai standar. Luaran yang dicapai meliputi peningkatan keterampilan siswa, modul pelatihan, publikasi media online, dan pengajuan HKI. Program ini diharapkan menjadi fondasi pembelajaran praktik yang lebih kuat untuk mendukung kesiapan siswa menghadapi dunia industri berbasis jaringan komputer.
