Ear health is an important aspect of overall health. The ear is not only a hearing organ, but also has a role in keeping the body in balance. Serumen plays an important role in keeping the ear clean and protecting it from dust, dirt and infection. Hearing loss can affect children's speech comprehension, language and social development. Increased awareness and prevention of hearing loss in children needs to be carried out continuously. The Department of ENT-BKL FK UNUD conducts community service activities with a small doctor training program to prevent hearing loss due to earwax in children.. The submitted work, titled "PELATIHAN DOKTER KECIL TENTANG KESEHATAN TELINGA DENGAN MEDIA KALENDER BALIK PADA SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR," addresses a critical public health issue concerning ear health and hearing loss prevention in primary school children. The abstract effectively highlights the multifaceted role of the ear, the importance of serumen in ear protection, and the significant impact of hearing loss on children's development. This community service initiative, led by the Department of ENT-BKL FK UNUD, focuses on empowering "little doctors" with knowledge about ear hygiene, specifically regarding earwax, using an innovative "flip calendar" media to prevent hearing impairment. The proposed intervention demonstrates several strengths. The "little doctor" training model is commendable, as it leverages peer education and fosters a sense of responsibility among children, potentially leading to more sustainable health practices within school environments. Targeting serumen-related hearing loss is a practical and highly relevant approach for primary school settings, as it addresses a common and often preventable cause of auditory issues. The use of a "kalender balik" (flip calendar) as an educational medium is also a positive aspect, suggesting a thoughtful consideration of age-appropriate and engaging tools for knowledge dissemination among students. This community-based approach underscores a proactive stance towards early intervention and health promotion. While the initiative appears promising, the abstract, by its nature, provides limited detail regarding the methodology and outcomes. A full manuscript would greatly benefit from a clear articulation of the training curriculum's specifics, the duration and frequency of sessions, and, crucially, a robust evaluation framework. It would be valuable to understand the immediate impact on the "little doctors'" knowledge and practices, as well as any observable changes in ear health awareness or hygiene behaviors among their peers. Future reporting should include quantitative or qualitative data demonstrating the effectiveness of the flip calendar media and the overall program's success in reducing preventable hearing issues. Such empirical evidence would significantly strengthen the paper's contribution and inform scalability.
