Abstract

Islam is the most perfect religion in all respects. One of its perfections is to oblige its people to be able to live independently by working or doing business in the right way. Islam not only teaches to worship, but Islam also teaches its people to be independent and work hard, one of which is entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurship is a science that studies the values, abilities, and behavior of a person in facing life's challenges. Entrepreneurial elements include motivation, vision, communication, optimism, encouragement and the ability to take advantage of opportunities. Islamic entrepreneurship is an aspect of life that is grouped into muamalah issues. Problems that are closely related to horizontal relationships, namely the relationship between humans that will be accounted for later in the hereafter. Islamic entrepreneurship is a worship that will get a reward if it is implemented.

Review

This paper tackles a highly relevant and important topic by exploring the modern concept of entrepreneurship from an Islamic perspective, with a specific focus on its practice in Indonesia. The abstract effectively highlights the foundational Islamic principles that underscore the necessity and virtue of independent living through ethical work and business. It clearly establishes entrepreneurship as a holistic endeavor, integrating it within the *muamalah* framework and positioning it as an act of worship that carries spiritual rewards and accountability. The articulation of key entrepreneurial elements—motivation, vision, communication, optimism, encouragement, and opportunity recognition—provides a good theoretical framework for the discussion. However, while the abstract eloquently lays out the theoretical and spiritual dimensions of Islamic entrepreneurship, it leaves the reader wanting more regarding the "modern concept" and its "practice in Indonesia." The abstract defines what Islamic entrepreneurship *is* conceptually but offers no insight into *how* these principles are manifested, adapted, or challenged in contemporary Indonesian business environments. To fully deliver on its ambitious title, the paper would greatly benefit from detailing specific examples, case studies, or methodologies that illuminate the practical application of these Islamic values. Clarification on what distinguishes the "modern concept" from traditional Islamic business practices, and how it addresses contemporary economic realities in Indonesia, would also significantly strengthen the argument. In conclusion, the abstract presents a compelling and well-justified premise for a study on Islamic entrepreneurship, particularly given its potential impact in a Muslim-majority country like Indonesia. It successfully establishes the ethical and spiritual motivations that differentiate this approach from purely secular models. With a more robust exploration of the practical implementation, challenges, and successes of Islamic entrepreneurship within the modern Indonesian context, this paper has the potential to make a valuable contribution to both academic literature and practical understanding of faith-based economic development. Further elaboration on these areas would elevate it from a theoretical exposition to a comprehensive analysis.
