This abstract outlines a quantitative study investigating the influence of human resources competencies on employee work effectiveness at the Makassar Region I South UPTP Office. The research addresses a pertinent topic within organizational management, seeking to establish a direct relationship between these two critical constructs. The primary finding indicates a positive and significant effect of HR competencies on employee work effectiveness, suggesting that enhancing employee capabilities is indeed beneficial for organizational performance in this specific context. Methodologically, the study employed a quantitative descriptive approach with a sample of 42 ASN employees from the specified office. The hypothesis testing utilized simple linear regression analysis, which is appropriate for examining a direct relationship between a single independent and dependent variable. While this approach provides a foundational understanding, the relatively small sample size might limit the generalizability of the findings beyond the immediate context of the Makassar Region I South UPTP Office. Furthermore, the abstract's description of a "descriptive approach" alongside quantitative analysis could benefit from further clarification on how the descriptive elements informed or complemented the inferential statistical analysis. The identified positive influence of HR competencies offers valuable practical implications for the UPTP office, underscoring the importance of investment in training and development programs. To build upon this foundational work, future research could consider exploring additional mediating or moderating variables that might influence this relationship, thereby employing more complex statistical models. Expanding the sample size to include multiple offices or a broader region, or even incorporating qualitative elements, could provide a more nuanced and generalizable understanding of the mechanisms through which HR competencies translate into enhanced work effectiveness.
