Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengungkap pola strategi perencanaan guru dalam menerapkan Kurikulum Merdeka di SMP Negeri, juga untuk mengetahui pola strategi perencanaan yang efektif untuk digunakan oleh guru SMP Negeri dalam penerapan Kurikulum Merdeka. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Lokasi penelitian bertempat di SMPN 9 Yogyakarta dan SMPN 16 Yogyakarta. Informasi data diambil dari kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah bidang kurikulum, wali kelas 7 dari kedua sekolah tersebut, serta artikel yang terpercaya. Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa guru melakukan koordinasi dengan warga sekolah, utamanya wakil kepala sekolah bidang kurikulum dalam menyusun Kurikulum Operasional Satuan Pendidikan. Guru juga menyusun Capaian Pembelajaran hingga Alur Tujuan Pembelajaran melalui kolaborasi sesama guru mata pelajaran, maupun dalam forum komunitas belajar untuk menyelaraskan strategi mengenai jalannya pembelajaran. Kemudian, terdapat perencanaan kegiatan Proyek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila oleh tim fasilitator. Pola strategi perencanaan yang efektif untuk digunakan oleh guru-guru SMP Negeri adalah dengan konsisten mengikuti proses penerapan Kurikulum Merdeka, menjalin komunikasi yang baik dengan warga sekolah, sekaligus berperan aktif dalam mengikuti kegiatan di komunitas belajar.
This study addresses a highly relevant and timely topic in Indonesian education by investigating the planning strategies employed by junior high school teachers in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum. The objective to not only uncover these strategies but also identify effective patterns offers valuable insights for educators and policymakers. The focus on public junior high schools provides a specific and practical context for understanding the real-world application of this new curriculum framework. The qualitative research design is appropriate for an in-depth exploration of complex educational practices and teacher experiences. The research was meticulously conducted in two public junior high schools in Yogyakarta, utilizing a multi-faceted approach to data collection. Information was gathered from key stakeholders including school principals, curriculum vice principals, and 7th-grade homeroom teachers, supplemented by "reliable articles." The findings reveal a coordinated effort among teachers, particularly in collaboration with curriculum leadership, for developing the School Operational Curriculum. Furthermore, teachers are actively engaged in collaborative efforts within subject groups and learning communities to design Learning Outcomes and Learning Path Objectives, alongside dedicated planning for the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project. The study concludes by identifying effective planning strategies that emphasize consistent adherence to the curriculum process, fostering good communication within the school community, and active participation in learning communities. Overall, the study provides a robust qualitative analysis of teacher planning strategies, offering actionable insights for successful Merdeka Curriculum implementation. A strength lies in its grounded approach, interviewing various school personnel to capture diverse perspectives. While the inclusion of "reliable articles" as a data source alongside interviews could be further elaborated for clarity on its role in a qualitative study, the primary focus on direct engagement with school staff ensures rich empirical data. The identified effective strategies, such as strong communication and community engagement, underscore the importance of collaborative cultures in schools. Future research could expand this investigation to a broader geographical scope or different educational levels to assess the generalizability of these effective strategies, and potentially delve deeper into the specific content and impact of the "reliable articles" component.
