Abstract

Kurangnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan mitra dalam mengolah produk berbasis rumput laut menyebabkan komoditi unggulan tersebut belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal. Kegiatan bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan Mitra Baji Pamai dalam penganekaragaman produk rumput laut yaitu mie dan stik sehingga diperoleh nilai tambah. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan adalah pelatihan (penyuluhan dan praktek) dan pendampingan. Penyuluhan diawali pretest dilanjutkan dengan penyampaian materi pengolahan dan pemasaran produk oleh narasumber kompeten. Praktek pembuatan kedua produk dilakukan secara bertahap dengan partisipasi aktif peserta dipandu instruktur berpengalaman. Pendampingan untuk mengevaluasi kemampuan peserta membuat dan memasarkan produk secara mandiri sekaligus menilai peningkatan keterampilan peserta. Peningkatan pengetahuan dinilai dengan posttest pada akhir kegiatan. Hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan awal peserta mengenai pengolahan produk rumput laut tergolong rendah yaitu rata-rata 27%, meningkat sebesar 68% menjadi 95-100% setelah mengikuti pelatihan. Keterampilan membuat mie dan stik meningkat 100% dari keterampilan awal 0%. Hasil penjualan kedua produk melalui whatsapp group diperoleh nilai tambah per 1 kg rumput laut basah siap pakai sebesar Rp 105.000 dan Rp. 144.000. Kesimpulan kegiatan adalah bahwa pelatihan berhasil meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan anggota mitra dalam membuat mie dan stik serta meningkatkan nilai tambah rumput laut.
