Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan mengetahui kelayakan media pembelajaran berbasis Prezi pada materi Pengeritingan Rambut Desain Batang untuk siswa kelas XI Tata Kecantikan SMK Swasta Tarbiyah Islamiyah. Penelitian dilatarbelakangi oleh pembelajaran yang masih bersifat konvensional dan kurang interaktif sehingga menyebabkan rendahnya motivasi dan pemahaman siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 35 siswa, 3 ahli materi, dan 2 ahli media. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket validasi dan uji coba siswa, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran berbasis Prezi sangat layak digunakan, dengan hasil validasi ahli materi 96%, ahli media 90%, dan uji coba siswa mencapai rata-rata 88–90%. Media ini dinilai efektif dalam meningkatkan motivasi serta pemahaman siswa terhadap langkah-langkah pengeritingan rambut. Dengan demikian, media pembelajaran Prezi dapat dijadikan inovasi untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran vokasional di SMK.

The central finding strongly suggests that the developed Prezi-based media is highly viable and effective, presenting a promising solution to enhance instructional quality in vocational education. The paper demonstrates several significant strengths, particularly in its systematic approach and practical relevance. The choice of a comprehensive ADDIE model, encompassing analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation phases, ensures a thorough and well-validated media development process. The high validation scores from multiple stakeholders – 96% from material experts, 90% from media experts, and an impressive 88-90% from student trials – provide compelling evidence for the media's quality and user acceptance. This robust validation, combined with the focus on a specific, practical vocational skill, underscores the study's direct applicability and potential to foster increased student motivation and understanding, thereby enriching the vocational learning environment. While the research convincingly establishes the feasibility and positive reception of the Prezi-based learning media, the abstract could benefit from a more explicit description of how the "effectiveness" in increasing motivation and understanding was quantitatively measured beyond general positive feedback. For future work, it would be valuable to employ a more rigorous quasi-experimental design, potentially incorporating pre- and post-tests to objectively assess learning gains and comparing outcomes with a control group. Further research could also explore the long-term impact on skill acquisition and retention, as well as the scalability of this approach across different vocational subjects or institutions. Despite these suggestions for deeper empirical validation, this study offers a compelling case for integrating innovative digital tools like Prezi to significantly enhance engagement and learning outcomes in vocational education.
