Pengembangan media liforik berbasis macromedia flash upaya peningkatan kompetensi menganalisis informasi iklan siswa kelas v.
SDN Baledono 1 Purworejo.
The study investigates the development, feasibility, and effectiveness of "Liforik," a Macromedia Flash-based learning medium designed to enhance fifth-grade students' competency in analyzing advertisement information. The research employs a robust Research and Development (R&D) methodology, adapting the Borg and Gall model, which lends credibility to its developmental approach. The findings indicate strong initial promise, with the media declared "very feasible" based on high expert validation scores from both media (77.94%) and material experts (90.58%), yielding an impressive average of 84.96%. Furthermore, the effectiveness of Liforik is supported by statistical evidence, including a significant t-test result (t_hitung > t_tabel) and a moderate N-gain score (0.47), demonstrating its potential to improve student learning outcomes. While the study presents encouraging results, several points require clarification and critical consideration. A significant inconsistency exists regarding the target student population: the abstract initially mentions "siswa kelas V SMA" (fifth-grade high school students) but then refers to "siswa kelas V SDN Baledono 1 Purworejo," which clearly indicates fifth-grade elementary school students. This discrepancy is fundamental and must be rectified to accurately define the study's scope and applicability. Another critical aspect is the choice of technology; Macromedia Flash is an obsolete platform, the official support for which ended years ago. This raises serious questions about the long-term sustainability, accessibility, and contemporary relevance of the developed media, despite its initial effectiveness. Future iterations should consider more current and accessible web-based or cross-platform technologies. Additionally, while the N-gain score is moderate, a brief discussion on its practical implications for student learning would enhance the interpretation of the results. Despite these concerns, this research makes a valuable contribution by demonstrating a structured approach to developing and validating an educational medium aimed at a specific learning competency. The rigorous R&D process and the positive empirical evidence of feasibility and effectiveness are commendable. To enhance the clarity and impact of this work, the authors should prioritize correcting the inconsistent student demographic information. Future research or practical implementation should critically address the technological obsolescence by migrating the content to contemporary platforms to ensure its longevity and broader utility. Overall, the study provides a solid foundation for further exploration into digital media's role in developing analytical skills, provided these key issues are addressed in subsequent presentations or publications.
