This study addresses a highly relevant and critical issue concerning land degradation due to intensive potato farming on steep slopes in the Dieng Highlands, specifically in Kejajar District, Wonosobo. The identification of Natural Based Solutions (NBS) as a conservation strategy is a pertinent and timely approach, aligning with modern ecological and sustainable development frameworks. The abstract clearly articulates the problem—land criticality stemming from specific agricultural practices—and sets out to survey existing conservation methods employed by local farmers. This practical, ground-level investigation into current practices is commendable, offering insights into local responses to environmental challenges. A key strength of the research, as presented in the abstract, lies in its direct engagement with the problem at the community level through field observation across 15 villages. The finding that all surveyed villages are already implementing at least one type of conservation method within the scope of Nature-Based Solutions is a significant and encouraging observation. This suggests a foundational level of environmental awareness and proactive engagement among farmers, which could serve as a valuable starting point for more comprehensive conservation initiatives. The research's focus on identifying existing solutions rather than solely proposing new ones allows for a realistic assessment of current adaptive strategies. While the abstract establishes a strong premise and an interesting key finding, the full paper would benefit from greater detail regarding the specific NBS identified. The current statement, "setidaknya satu jenis metode" (at least one type of method), is quite general and limits the immediate understanding of the diversity and nature of these solutions. Future work should elaborate on the specific methodologies employed for *analyzing* the identified conservation types, including criteria for effectiveness, adoption rates, and challenges faced by farmers. Discussing the potential for scaling up successful NBS, or proposing additional science-backed strategies to complement existing practices, would significantly enhance the practical impact and academic contribution of this otherwise valuable research.
