Abstract

Perkembangan metode penafsiran Al-Qur’an sangat penting dilihat sebagai khazanah yang menempatkan Al-Qur’an sesuai pada konteks zamannya. Sebab metode terus dinamis semenjak Nabi Muhammad wafat pada abad ke 7 M, dan terus terjadi sampai sekarang. Pada era Nabi, ia menjadi sumber tafsir Al-Qur’an tunggal, kemudian di era sahabat, baru terjadi perbedaan penafsiran akibat perbedaan metode yang digunakan untuk memahami suatu ayat yang sama. Peristiwa seperti ini masih terus terjadi sampai saat ini, dengan demikian menarik untuk dijadikan sebagai kajian akademik dengan mempertanyakan bagaimana metode penafsiran tersebut mengalami dinamisasi sesuai pada konteksnya? Riset ini hendak menganalisis dinamisasi tersebut dengan melibat perspektif kajian epistemologi. Melalui kajian kepustakaan (library research), riset ini berkesimpulan bahwa terdapat pergeseran secara mendasar dalam perkembangan metode penafsiran tersebut. Pertama, pergeseran dalam menggunakan sumber. Kedua, pergeseran juga terjadi terhadap penggunaan sumber metode itu sendiri. Ketiga, pergesertan pada keabsahan metode tersebut yang masing-masing hakikatnya lahir untuk keperluan temporal.
