This paper presents a highly relevant and timely community engagement initiative focused on public health education regarding the prevention and control of Malaria and Dengue Fever (DBD) among middle school students in Indonesia. Given Indonesia's status with the highest incidence rates of these diseases in Southeast Asia, and the contributing factors of high population density and mobility, targeting young individuals for early preventive education is a crucial strategy. The abstract effectively outlines a valuable program led by Pharmacy students, addressing a significant public health challenge with a practical educational approach. The methodology described, involving a pre-test, educational presentation, post-test, and a question-and-answer session, is suitable for assessing immediate knowledge acquisition. The quantitative results are encouraging, indicating a clear improvement in student understanding, with average scores rising from 65.24% to 75.71%. This demonstrates the immediate effectiveness of the educational intervention in enhancing students' knowledge about Malaria and DBD prevention and control. The findings strongly support the authors' conclusion regarding the importance of early educational interventions within school environments as a vital preventive measure against endemic diseases. While the abstract clearly highlights the positive impact of the intervention, a more comprehensive full paper would benefit from a detailed statistical analysis beyond simple averages, perhaps including statistical significance (e.g., using a paired t-test). Furthermore, discussing the potential for long-term knowledge retention and the translation of this enhanced understanding into actual behavioral changes among students would significantly strengthen the study's implications. Future initiatives could explore broader scaling-up strategies and the unique contributions of pharmacy students in delivering such specialized health education. Nevertheless, this abstract outlines a commendable and effective program that makes a valuable contribution to community-based health education efforts.
