Development of islamic cultural history teaching materials in improving students' learning interest through youtube media. Discover how developing Islamic Cultural History teaching materials for YouTube boosts students' learning interest. Explore innovative digital media solutions for engaging education.
In the era of rapidly developing information technology, the use of digital media in education is becoming increasingly important. Conventional teaching and learning no longer attracts students because it is boring, including in teaching and learning SKI. SKI material, which is related to Islamic history, requires a creative and related to Islamic history, requires a creative and innovative approach to keep students interested and motivated. innovative approach to keep students interested and motivated. The use of technological media such as YouTube is an effective solution. YouTube teaching and learning media can increase student interest and enthusiasm for learning, facilitate understanding of complex concepts, and provide easy access to educational content. complex concepts, and provide easy access to interesting educational content. educational content. This research aims to examine the potential and benefits of using the YouTube platform as a teaching and learning medium in the context of the history of Islamic culture. This research resulted in a statement that the use of YouTube media to Islamic Cultural History teaching materials has the potential to increase students' interest in learning students.
This paper addresses a highly relevant and timely issue concerning student engagement in Islamic Cultural History (SKI) education, particularly in an era dominated by digital media. The authors identify a significant challenge: conventional teaching methods are failing to capture student interest, necessitating innovative approaches. The central premise, leveraging YouTube as a teaching and learning medium to enhance student interest and facilitate understanding of complex historical concepts, is commendable and aligns with current pedagogical trends in integrating technology into the classroom. The research aims to explore the potential and benefits of this approach, culminating in the assertion that YouTube media for SKI teaching materials holds the promise of increasing student learning interest. However, a notable concern arises from the disparity between the ambitious claims in the title—"Development Of Islamic Cultural History Teaching Materials In Improving Students' Learning Interest"—and the outlined methodology. The abstract states the use of a "qualitative descriptive method with a library research approach." While this approach is valuable for synthesizing existing knowledge and theorizing potential, it inherently limits the ability to *demonstrate* the *development* of actual teaching materials or, crucially, to *empirically prove* an *improvement* in students' learning interest. Library research can only conclude on the *potential* or *theoretical benefits*, not actual, observed impact in a classroom setting. Furthermore, the abstract lacks specific details about the nature of the "teaching materials" developed; it is unclear whether these are custom-made videos, curated existing content, or a specific pedagogical framework for YouTube integration. In conclusion, while the paper highlights a critical educational need and proposes a promising technological solution, its current scope, as described in the abstract, primarily establishes a theoretical foundation rather than an empirical validation. To fully realize the implications suggested by the title, future research should move beyond library analysis to include practical implementation, development of concrete teaching resources, and empirical studies involving actual student cohorts. Such an approach would be vital for generating evidence-based findings on how YouTube media specifically *improves* learning interest in SKI, thereby transforming its identified *potential* into demonstrable educational outcomes.
