Review

This article sets out to explore the critical intersection of civic governance and good governance within the framework of Indonesia's decentralized education policy. The study's focus on understanding the dynamics and challenges of implementing education based on principles of citizen participation and governmental transparency is highly relevant in the context of regional autonomy. Utilizing a qualitative approach and a comprehensive literature review, the paper aims to synthesize existing knowledge to establish how these vital governance tenets can be integrated to foster accountable, just, and publicly responsible educational policies. While the abstract clearly articulates a strong conceptual foundation, linking educational policy, decentralization, civic participation, and transparency, it could benefit from greater specificity regarding the "dynamics and challenges" it intends to explore. The reliance solely on a literature review, while appropriate for a conceptual or theoretical paper, means the strength of the analysis will heavily depend on how effectively diverse sources are synthesized to reveal nuanced insights into these practical difficulties and the pathways to overcome them. For a paper focused on "dinamika" (dynamics), a clearer indication of how these evolving aspects will be analyzed through the chosen methodology would strengthen the abstract. In conclusion, this paper addresses a significant area of public policy, offering a timely examination of how democratic governance principles can be effectively embedded within Indonesia's education sector. Should the full article deliver on its promise to illuminate the practical implications and potential hurdles in achieving participatory and transparent educational governance through its synthesis of literature, it has the potential to provide valuable insights for policymakers, educators, and civil society organizations. Future development of this work could further enhance its contribution by offering more concrete, literature-backed strategies or policy recommendations tailored to address the identified challenges within the Indonesian context.
