Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a crucial role in the national economy, requiring well-planned strategies for sustainable development. This study aims to analyze business development strategies and income growth from the perspective of Maqashid Shariah. The research focuses on the Insan Bandrek Jahe Merah product, with data analyzed using SWOT analysis. The findings indicate that the Insan Bandrek Jahe Merah business is positioned in Quadrant II of the SWOT diagram, with coordinates X=1.09 and Y= -0.1. This placement suggests that the most appropriate business development strategy is diversification. Diversification can be implemented through product innovation, such as introducing new products suitable for consumption in hot weather or utilizing alternative raw materials. Additionally, another crucial strategy involves emphasizing the uniqueness of raw materials and obtaining business licenses to create differentiation from competitors. In terms of marketing, digital media promotion through Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads, TikTok, and e-commerce platforms is essential for expanding market reach. From the perspective of Maqashid Shariah, business development strategies must align with the principles of protecting religion (deen), property (maal), intellect (aql), life (nafs), and lineage (nasl), ensuring ethical and sustainable business growth.

Review

This paper presents a timely and relevant exploration into business development strategies for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), focusing specifically on the Insan Bandrek Jahe Merah product. The study's unique contribution lies in its integration of conventional business strategy, primarily SWOT analysis, with the comprehensive ethical framework of Maqashid Shariah. By examining strategies through this dual lens, the research aims to provide a holistic approach to sustainable business growth, addressing both market dynamics and Islamic ethical principles. This interdisciplinary perspective promises valuable insights for businesses seeking both commercial success and adherence to moral imperatives. The methodology employed, a SWOT analysis, effectively positions the Insan Bandrek business in Quadrant II, indicating a strategic direction towards diversification. The abstract outlines practical and actionable recommendations, including product innovation (e.g., hot weather products, alternative raw materials), emphasizing unique raw materials, and securing business licenses to foster differentiation. Furthermore, the study strongly advocates for modern digital marketing channels such as Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads, TikTok, and e-commerce platforms to expand market reach. A core strength is the explicit linkage of these strategies to Maqashid Shariah, underscoring the importance of protecting religion, property, intellect, life, and lineage, thereby ensuring that business growth is not only profitable but also ethically sound and socially responsible. While the abstract clearly outlines the proposed strategies, a more detailed elaboration in the full paper on the specific mechanisms of "income growth" and how the Maqashid Shariah principles concretely translate into measurable business practices for Insan Bandrek would strengthen the impact. For instance, further discussion on how diversification, marketing efforts, or licensing directly contribute to the protection of *maal* (property) or *nafs* (life) beyond a general statement would be beneficial. Nevertheless, this study offers a compelling practical roadmap for the Insan Bandrek business and makes a significant contribution to the growing body of literature on Islamic business ethics and MSME development. It provides a solid foundation for understanding how traditional business tools can be effectively harmonized with a comprehensive ethical framework to achieve sustainable and responsible growth.
