Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pemanfaatan aplikasi quizizz sebagai media pembelajaran dalam pengenalan kosakata khas Batak Toba naniura bagi pembelajar BIPA tingkat madya. Pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing (BIPA) menuntut pendekatan kontekstual yang tidak hanya memperhatikan aspek linguistik, tetapi juga kultural. Salah satu bentuk integrasi budaya lokal dalam pengajaran bahasa adalah melalui kosakata kuliner tradisional. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode deskripsi kualitatif dengan tahapan yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan aplikasi quizizz mampu meningkatkan partisipasi dan pemahaman kosakata pembelajar BIPA melalui fitur gamifikasi yang interaktif dan menyenangkan. Penggunaan quizizz dengan materi berbasis kuliner naniura mendukung terciptanya pembelajaran bahasa yang komunikatif, kontekstual, dan berbasis kearifan lokal. Dengan demikian, aplikasi quizizz efektif digunakan untuk mengenalkan kosakata baru berbasis budaya dalam pembelajaran BIPA. Kata Kunci: BIPA, Quizizz, Kosakata, Kuliner Naniura, Batak Toba

While the qualitative descriptive approach effectively highlights the benefits and processes, future iterations could potentially benefit from providing more specific details regarding the learner profiles (e.g., their linguistic background or prior cultural exposure) to better contextualize the findings. Furthermore, articulating any minor challenges encountered during implementation, even within a successful framework, could offer valuable insights for other practitioners. In conclusion, this research provides compelling evidence for the effectiveness of integrating digital platforms like Quizizz with culturally specific content in BIPA education. The study successfully demonstrates how technology can serve as a powerful conduit for making language learning more dynamic, culturally relevant, and enjoyable, particularly in the realm of vocabulary acquisition. The findings offer valuable pedagogical implications for BIPA instructors seeking innovative ways to enrich their curricula with local wisdom. This work sets a strong precedent for further exploration into the synergistic relationship between educational technology, cultural immersion, and language learning, encouraging future studies to potentially investigate the long-term retention of such vocabulary or to compare the efficacy across different digital tools or cultural contexts.
