This research involves the use of structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis method as a statistical tool to process research data, while data processing uses software tools, namely SPSS 21 and AMOS 23. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The expected results in this study concluded that service quality has a positive effect on electronic word of mouth, service quality has a positive effect on tourist satisfaction, there is no positive effect of service quality on destination loyalty, electronic word of mouth has a positive effect on destination loyalty, tourist satisfaction has a positive effect on destination loyalty.
The study, "Antecedents of Destination Loyalty in Jakarta," addresses a highly relevant topic in urban tourism management by investigating critical factors influencing tourist loyalty to Jakarta. The abstract clearly outlines the paper's objective: to analyze the direct and indirect influences of service quality, electronic word of mouth (eWOM), and tourist satisfaction on destination loyalty. This research has the potential to offer valuable insights for tourism stakeholders in Jakarta, providing a framework to understand and enhance visitor retention and advocacy, and thereby contributing to the broader discourse on destination marketing. From a methodological perspective, the study employs Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), a robust statistical technique well-suited for analyzing complex hypothesized relationships between latent variables, which aligns with the stated objectives. The use of SPSS 21 and AMOS 23 indicates standard and appropriate software choices for SEM analysis. However, the reliance on purposive sampling, while sometimes practical for specific research designs, would warrant a more detailed justification in the full paper regarding its potential impact on the generalizability of the findings to the broader tourist population in Jakarta. The abstract effectively presents the core findings rather than mere expectations, which is a common and helpful practice. The findings presented are particularly intriguing and offer several key insights. While the positive effects of service quality on eWOM and tourist satisfaction, and subsequently eWOM and satisfaction on destination loyalty, are largely consistent with existing literature, the most notable finding is the *absence* of a direct positive effect of service quality on destination loyalty. This specific null finding is significant and merits deeper discussion within the full paper, particularly within the unique context of Jakarta. It suggests that for this destination, service quality might primarily act as an indirect antecedent, fostering loyalty through enhanced satisfaction and positive word-of-mouth rather than a direct pathway. Future research could further explore the nuances of these mediating relationships or compare these findings with other urban destinations to enhance the theoretical and practical implications.
