Introduction

Ympäristöön ja elintarvikeketjuihin liittyvät laittomat toimet rikostorjunnan varjoista valokeilaan. Tutustu ympäristö- ja elintarvikeketjun rikollisuuden torjuntaan. Artikkeli korostaa monitieteellisen tutkimuksen tarvetta ja esittelee hallinnollista rikostorjuntaa.

Abstract

Ympäristörikollisuus ja elintarvikeketjun rikollisuus uhkaavat niin elinympäristöämme, luontoa kuin elintarviketurvallisuutta. Näiden rikollisuusilmiöiden torjunta vaatii moniviranomaistoimintaa, joka puolestaan tarvitsee tuekseen monitieteellistä tutkimusta. Kansainvälisesti ympäristörikosten ja elintarvikeketjun rikosten tieteellinen tutkimus on jo kasvussa. Myös kansallisen tutkimusyhteisömme on aika tarttua näihin teemoihin. Esittelemme lyhyesti hallinnollisen rikostorjunnan mahdollisena tulevan tutkimuksen viitekehyksenä, joka yhdistää sekä kriminologian alan ja valvonnan tutkimuksen kentän että vastaa osaltaan käytännön toimijoiden tiedon tarpeisiin.

A key strength of this contribution lies in its proposition of "administrative crime prevention" as a promising framework for future research. This framework is presented as a valuable bridge, integrating insights from criminology with the practicalities of enforcement and supervision studies. By connecting these traditionally distinct fields, the authors suggest a coherent and actionable path forward, designed not only to advance theoretical understanding but also to directly address the pressing information needs of practitioners on the ground. This conceptualization offers a robust starting point for developing targeted research agendas. While primarily a conceptual and agenda-setting piece, the article excels in clearly articulating a critical research gap and proposing a structured way to fill it. It successfully lays the groundwork for stimulating national discourse and future investigations into these often-overlooked criminal activities. To further enhance its impact, subsequent work building upon this foundation could elaborate on specific methodological approaches or empirical questions that arise from the administrative crime prevention framework. Nevertheless, as a foundational statement, this paper is highly valuable for its role in spotlighting an urgent societal challenge and charting a clear, interdisciplinary direction for national research efforts.
