The dynamics of work from home (wfh): examining the impact of job motiva-tion, mental well-being, work environment, and personality on employee produc-tivity. Examine Work From Home (WFH) impact on employee productivity. Study links job motivation, mental well-being, work environment, & personality, showing WFH boosts productivity.
The changing operating environment of working life and megatrends, such as digitaliza-tion, have strongly increased the proportion of time- and place-independent working methods in an expert organization in recent years. The study aims to examine the impact of job motivation, mental well-being, work environment, and personality on employee productivity. The data has been collected from a sample of 150 from the IT expert tar-geted population. The Smart PLS software has been used to analyse the data and conduct the operations. The five hypotheses are proven. It shares that the environmental ele-ments in the WFH setup have a positive impact on the productivity of work. All hypothesis proved that mental fitness increases in WFH setup that has a positive impact on the productivity of work. It shows that organizations can use work-from-home support in dealing with the challenges of the workplace and supporting better productivity. More communication skills and better use of alignment are needed.
This paper addresses a highly pertinent and timely topic, examining the multifaceted dynamics of Work from Home (WFH) and its impact on employee productivity. By investigating job motivation, mental well-being, work environment, and personality, the study aims to provide valuable insights into how these factors coalesce in a digitalized, place-independent work setting. The abstract suggests that the study identifies a positive relationship between environmental elements within WFH and productivity, alongside an reported increase in mental fitness that also positively influences productivity. These findings, if robustly supported, hold significant implications for organizations navigating the evolving landscape of modern work. While the chosen methodology of Smart PLS with a focused sample of 150 IT experts suggests a quantitative approach, the abstract could benefit from greater detail to fully assess the study's empirical strength. For instance, the specific nature of the "five hypotheses" remains unstated, making it challenging to understand the full scope of the investigation. Similarly, the operationalization of key variables such as "environmental elements" and "mental fitness" is not elaborated, which is crucial given the strong claim that mental fitness "increases in WFH setup" – a finding that can be highly context-dependent and potentially nuanced. Further clarification on the specific model used within Smart PLS and how the "alignment" and "communication skills" recommendations directly stem from the proven hypotheses would also enhance clarity. To strengthen the contribution, future iterations of this work should elaborate on the specific instruments used to measure each variable, provide a clear articulation of all hypotheses tested, and offer a more detailed presentation of the Smart PLS model results (e.g., path coefficients, R-squared values, or model fit indices). A more nuanced discussion of the "increase in mental fitness" could also explore potential moderating factors or boundary conditions, acknowledging that WFH impacts individuals differently. Despite these suggestions, the paper tackles an important contemporary issue, and its reported findings, particularly on the positive impact of environmental factors and mental well-being, offer a promising foundation for guiding organizational strategies in supporting effective remote work.
