This study, titled "PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS OF NATIONAL TABLE TENNIS ATHLETES: FACTORS AFFECTING ACHIEVEMENT," addresses a highly relevant topic in sports science and coaching, focusing on the multifaceted nature of athletic success. The abstract effectively highlights the study's objective to evaluate performance and explore influential factors, which is crucial for optimizing training strategies and athlete development. The choice of a descriptive qualitative method, employing in-depth interviews, direct observation, and documentation, appears well-suited for gaining a rich, nuanced understanding of the complex interplay of factors affecting an athlete's journey, particularly when focusing on a specific individual or context. However, the abstract presents a significant discrepancy between its stated scope and execution. While the title suggests a broader "performance analysis of national table tennis athletes" (plural), the abstract immediately narrows the focus to "Coach NPC Mohd. Ja’far," implying a single-case study or a very limited sample. This disparity should be clarified, as it profoundly impacts the generalizability and interpretation of the findings. Furthermore, the concluding phrase "Sports Hall Training Facilities" feels somewhat disconnected and its role within the study's findings or methodology is not clearly articulated. More importantly, while the abstract lists key factors—physical, technical, mental, tactical, and social support—it provides a generic statement of their significance rather than offering specific, qualitative insights derived from the research, which would be expected from such a methodology. To enhance the paper's clarity and impact, the authors should explicitly define the study's scope, clarifying whether it is a single-case study or part of a larger multi-case analysis. The methodology section in the full paper would benefit from elaborating on the specific criteria for data selection, the number of interviews, and the duration/nature of observations to provide transparency regarding the qualitative rigor. Crucially, the discussion of results should delve deeper into *how* each identified factor specifically manifests and impacts performance within the studied context, providing richer qualitative narratives or themes rather than merely listing their importance. With these clarifications and deeper analysis, this research holds the potential to offer valuable insights into high-performance table tennis development.
