Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi dan mengeksplorasi lebih jauh bagaimana literasi keuangan mempengaruhi kesiapan mahasiswa ekonomi di Universitas Negeri Makassar dalam kesiapan berwirausaha. Peneliti menggunakan teknik penelitian kualitatif deskriptif untuk penelitian ini. Wawancara dan observasi adalah metode yang digunakan untuk mendapatkan data atau informasi. Populasi penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Ekonomi Universitas Negeri Makassar, dan sampel terdiri dari 4 (empat) perwakilan mahasiswa yang memenuhi standar dan kriteria penelitian. Wawancara dengan 4 (empat) siswa yang memenuhi kriteria yang telah ditentukan digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa literasi keuangan berpengaruh terhadap kesiapan berwirausaha mahasiswa dalam berbagai indikator, antara lain yaitu basic financial knowledge, saving dan investment.

Even for a descriptive qualitative study, such a limited sample makes it challenging to establish robust patterns or draw definitive conclusions applicable to the broader student population at Universitas Negeri Makassar. Further details regarding the nature and extent of the observation method would also enhance the methodological transparency. Despite the noted methodological constraints, the study presents findings indicating that financial literacy, encompassing basic financial knowledge, saving, and investment, influences student entrepreneurial readiness. These preliminary insights, while valuable for identifying key areas of impact, must be interpreted with caution due to the limited scope of the sample. For future research, it would be highly advisable to significantly expand the sample size to achieve greater generalizability and potentially incorporate mixed-methods or quantitative approaches to validate these qualitative findings across a larger student population. Deepening the exploration into the specific mechanisms through which these identified financial literacy indicators foster entrepreneurial readiness, perhaps across diverse student demographics or institutional settings, would also provide a more comprehensive and robust understanding of this critical relationship.
