Introduction

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran Badan Usaha Milik Desa (BUMDes) Karya Bersama dalam mengembangkan Wisata Kuliner Narokan (WIKEN) di Desa Kilensari, Kecamatan Panarukan, Kabupaten Situbondo, serta dampak dari pelaksanaan kegiatan tersebut terhadap peningkatan kesejahteraan masyarakat setempat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa BUMDes Karya Bersama berperan aktif dalam penyediaan infrastruktur pendukung seperti fasilitas lapak, penerangan, air bersih, dan kebersihan lingkungan untuk menunjang kenyamanan pengunjung dan pelaku UMKM. Selain itu, BUMDes juga terlibat dalam perekrutan pelaku UMKM secara terbuka dan adil, serta memberikan pendampingan guna meningkatkan kualitas produk kuliner lokal. Adanya kegiatan WIKEN berdampak positif terhadap perekonomian desa, meningkatkan pendapatan pelaku UMKM, mempererat ikatan sosial masyarakat melalui pembentukan paguyuban pedagang, dan memperkuat identitas budaya lokal. Namun demikian, kegiatan ini masih menghadapi beberapa tantangan, seperti keterbatasan fasilitas perlindungan cuaca dan persaingan dengan desa wisata sekitarnya. Secara keseluruhan, WIKEN menjadi wadah strategis pengembangan ekonomi desa berbasis partisipasi komunitas yang inklusif dan berkelanjutan.

While the study effectively illustrates the positive outcomes, these identified challenges present opportunities for further practical intervention and future research. For instance, subsequent studies could explore strategies for enhancing infrastructure resilience or developing competitive advantages in a crowded tourism landscape. Overall, the paper provides a valuable case study that underscores WIKEN's strategic position as an inclusive and sustainable community-based economic development model, offering important insights for policymakers and practitioners engaged in similar rural development initiatives.
