Introduction

Pengukuran status gizi dan frekuensi kebiasaan makanan siap saji pada remaja di sman 10 luwu. Penelitian ini mengukur status gizi dan frekuensi konsumsi fast food pada 84 remaja SMAN 10 Luwu. Ditemukan 30 remaja obesitas dan 30 sering mengonsumsi makanan siap saji, menyoroti risiko kesehatan.

Abstract

Adolescents with obesity can have health problems into adulthood. This imbalance occurs due to high energy and fat intake and lack of physical activity. Fast food can cause health problems such as diabetes, hypertension, coronary heart disease, stroke, cancer, and lipid disorders. This community service activity increases adolescents' knowledge in choosing the right foods and preventing more complex nutritional problems by providing education and monitoring nutritional status. The results of anthropometric and nutritional status examinations of 84 students showed that 30 students were categorized as obese with a BMI ≥ 25.0 kg/m2. Regarding the frequency of fast food consumption among the 84 students, 30 students were categorized as frequently consuming fast food more than 3 times a week. For the sustainability of the program, it is recommended that it be carried out periodically and that access to health services be improved and community participation in health awareness be expanded. Thus, it is hoped that public awareness of maintaining health can continue to increase.
