Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji pengaruh kemudahan, keamanan, dan manfaat penggunaan uang elektronik terhadap perilaku konsumtif mahasiswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan populasi mahasiswa Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Panca Sakti Bekasi angkatan 2021–2024. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan probability sampling dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 90 mahasiswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dan dianalisis dengan regresi linier berganda menggunakan program SPSS versi 22. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara parsial, variabel kemudahan (t hitung 7,864; sig. 0,000) dan manfaat (t hitung 7,025; sig. 0,000) berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap perilaku konsumtif mahasiswa. Sementara itu, variabel keamanan (t hitung –6,408; sig. 0,000) berpengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap perilaku konsumtif. Secara simultan, kemudahan, keamanan, dan manfaat berpengaruh signifikan dengan nilai F hitung sebesar 211,989 > F tabel 2,71 dan sig. 0,000 < 0,05. Nilai koefisien determinasi (R² = 0,881) menunjukkan bahwa ketiga variabel mampu menjelaskan 88,1% variasi perilaku konsumtif, sedangkan sisanya 11,9% dipengaruhi faktor lain di luar penelitian. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemudahan dan manfaat penggunaan uang elektronik mendorong mahasiswa untuk lebih sering berbelanja secara online, sedangkan rasa aman yang tinggi dalam bertransaksi justru membantu mengurangi kecenderungan perilaku konsumtif. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi masukan bagi mahasiswa untuk lebih bijak dalam menggunakan uang elektronik dan mengelola keuangan pribadi di era digital.

This study investigates the influence of ease, security, and benefits associated with electronic money usage on the consumptive behavior of students from the Faculty of Economics and Business at Panca Sakti Bekasi University. The counter-intuitive finding regarding the negative relationship between security and consumptive behavior is particularly noteworthy and presents a compelling area for deeper exploration within the full paper. This suggests a more complex psychological dynamic where security might foster more deliberate financial decisions rather than merely facilitating transactions. The high R² value demonstrates a robust model, yet further research could aim to identify the specific "other factors" contributing to the remaining 11.9% of unexplained variance. Future studies would benefit from expanding the demographic scope beyond a single university, potentially incorporating longitudinal designs to observe behavioral changes over time, or employing qualitative methods to gain a richer understanding of the underlying motivations driving these relationships. Investigating potential mediating or moderating variables could also further refine our comprehension of these complex interactions.
