Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan kontribusi ekstrakurikuler Barongan di SDN 3 Banjarejo terhadap pelestarian budaya lokal di Kabupaten Blora. Fokus utama penelitian mencakup pelaksanaan kegiatan, minat siswa terhadap seni Barongan, serta dampaknya terhadap perkembangan siswa. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi partisipatif, dan dokumentasi, lalu dianalisis dengan triangulasi sumber dan teknik. Informan terdiri dari kepala sekolah, guru pembina ekstrakurikuler, dan siswa yang aktif mengikuti kegiatan. Lima siswa rutin tampil sebagai tokoh Bujang Ganong yang lincah dan ekspresif dalam pertunjukan Barongan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kegiatan ini bekerja sama dengan Sanggar Seni Barong Satrio Sawung Mudho. Meski minat siswa terhadap seni tradisional masih rendah akibat pengaruh budaya modern, kegiatan ini berdampak positif. Siswa menjadi lebih percaya diri, kreatif, dan berkembang secara karakter. Keterlibatan mereka juga menanamkan nilai-nilai budaya serta memperkuat identitas daerah. Dengan demikian, ekstrakurikuler Barongan berperan penting dalam mendukung pelestarian warisan budaya lokal di tengah arus globalisasi
