Abstract: Cell groups designed in the church have a clear purpose which is to shape the life of the congregation. Cell groups need to imitate what the early church did as recorded in Acts 2:42 and make it a pillar in forming a cell group. Acts 2:42 tells the story of how the life of the early church was formed. The habits of the early church led to spiritual growth. Without basing the cell group on a biblical foundation, the cell group will not have a significant impact on the growth of the church. There are five things that can be observed from the habits of the early church in Acts 2:42. These five things can then be applied in the cell group pattern to bring the congregation to experience significant spiritual growth. Using a descriptive qualitative method, it can be concluded that the five pillars of biblical cell groups according to Acts 2:42 need to be applied to improve the spiritual life of the congregation. This is because Acts 2:42 is the right foundation for building cell groups in a local church today. Acts 2:42 tells about the habits of the early church in the days of the apostles where the early church persevered in teaching, fellowship, breaking bread and praying. The early church did these things and the early church experienced significant growth in both quality and quantity. The paper titled "Lima Pilar Kelompok Sel Alkitabiah menurut Kisah Para Rasul 2:42" (The Five Pillars of Biblical Cell Groups according to Acts 2:42) addresses a highly relevant and practical topic for contemporary church ministry: the foundational principles for effective cell groups. The abstract clearly articulates the study's primary objective, which is to delineate and advocate for the application of five biblical pillars for cell groups, directly drawn from the practices of the early church as recorded in Acts 2:42. The core argument posits that anchoring cell groups in these specific biblical habits is indispensable for fostering significant spiritual growth within congregations. Employing a descriptive qualitative method, the research aims to firmly establish Acts 2:42 as the appropriate and enduring biblical bedrock for constructing impactful cell group ministries in local churches today. A significant strength of this proposed work lies in its clear, biblically-grounded approach to a crucial church issue. By anchoring the discussion firmly in Acts 2:42, the paper offers a compelling argument for emulating the early church's habits, which historically led to remarkable spiritual growth, both qualitatively and quantitatively. The emphasis on core practices such as perseverance in teaching, fellowship, breaking bread, and prayer provides a robust and actionable framework for church leaders seeking to enhance the spiritual vitality of their members. This direct link between biblical fidelity and congregational flourishing is a commendable contribution, offering a timely reminder of the enduring relevance of New Testament principles for modern ministry, and the "five pillars" framework has the potential to serve as a valuable diagnostic and prescriptive tool for churches. While the abstract presents a strong case for the importance of Acts 2:42, some aspects could benefit from further clarification in the full paper. Specifically, the abstract mentions "five things" or "five pillars" that can be observed from the early church's habits, yet then explicitly lists four key elements: teaching, fellowship, breaking bread, and prayer. A clear articulation of what constitutes the fifth pillar, or how these four are expanded or interpreted into five distinct elements, would greatly enhance the precision and applicability of the framework. Furthermore, while the descriptive qualitative method is stated, the abstract could briefly allude to the specific types of data or interpretative processes involved, even if briefly, to give a fuller sense of the research's execution. Nevertheless, the paper's overall direction is highly relevant and holds significant promise for informing effective cell group strategies.
