Abstract

Le Jour, raconte la vie et l'expérience d’Elie Wiesel comme Eliezer qui a été victime de l'Holocauste. Eliezer éprouve un sentiment d'être marginalisé dans la société parce qu’il est juif. La crise d'identité apparaît également dans le personnage d'Eliezer qui doute de son existence en tant qu'homme dans une société avec un monde cruel. Les approches de recherche utilisées sont la psychologie littéraire et qualitative. L'objet du roman Le Jour sera analysé avec un objet formel axé sur la crise et la découverte de l'identité à travers l'identification sociale et la catégorisation sociale basée sur l'étude de l’identité sociale d'Henri Tajfel. Les données primaires utilisées sont présentées sous la forme du roman Le Jour d'Elie Wiesel, composé de 168 pages et divisé en 24 sections, tandis que les données secondaires utilisées proviennent d'une écriture scientifique liée à l’étude d’identités sociales de Tajfel. La conclusion qui peut être tirée à partir de cette recherche est que le personnage d'Eliezer dans le roman Le Jour a connu une crise d'identité fondée sur l'identification sociale, mais il a aussi découvert sa nouvelle identité basée sur la catégorisation sociale.
