Kedudukan konsumen dalam hubungan hukum dengan pelaku usaha di Indonesia merupakan isu penting yang perlu dikaji secara mendalam, mengingat konsumen sering berada pada posisi yang lemah dalam praktik transaksi, terutama akibat dominasi pelaku usaha dalam menentukan syarat-syarat perjanjian serta keterbatasan konsumen dalam memahami hak-hak hukumnya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kedudukan hukum konsumen dalam hubungannya dengan pelaku usaha, mengkaji bentuk perlindungan hukum berdasarkan Undang-Undang Nomor 8 Tahun 1999 tentang Perlindungan Konsume dan KUH Perdata, serta menemukan kendala dan solusi dalam mewujudkan keseimbangan kedudukan hukum antara kedua belah pihak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian hukum normatif dengan pendekatan perundang-undangan, konseptual, dan kasus, didukung oleh analisis kualitatif terhadap data sekunder berupa literatur, peraturan perundang-undangan, dan putusan pengadilan. Hasil pembahasan menunjukkan bahwa meskipun UUPK dan KUH Perdata telah memberikan perlindungan yang jelas bagi konsumen dan pelaku usaha, praktik di lapangan masih menghadapi kendala berupa lemahnya penegakan hukum, rendahnya kesadaran hukum masyarakat, dan minimnya tanggung jawab sebagian pelaku usaha, sehingga dibutuhkan penguatan regulasi, peningkatan pengawasan, serta edukasi hukum untuk menciptakan hubungan yang adil, seimbang, dan harmonis antara konsumen dan pelaku usaha.
