Abstract

STIKES Keluarga Bunda Jambi merupakan salah satu kampus yang berlokasi di daerah Jambi untuk pengambilan keputusan pemberian beasiswa masih kurang efektif dikarenakan pengolahan data membutuhkan waktu yang relatif lama dalam menentukan siapa yang berhak menerima beasiswa dan dalam pencatatan data siswa sering terjadi kesalahan dalam menginput identitas mahasiswa seperti terjadi duplikasi data untuk nama yang sama. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan memberikan solusi untuk permasalahan yang terjadi dengan menawarkan sistem pendukung keputusan pemberian beasiswa menggunakan bahasa pemograman PHP dan DBMS MySQL dimana penulis melakukan pengembangan sistem dengan metode waterfall dan menggunakan pendekatan model sistem unified model language menggunakan use case diagram, activity diagram, class diagram dan flowchart document. Sistem baru menghasilkan output yang dapat menampilkan data mahasiswa, data admin, data kriteria, data sub kriteria, data penilaian mahasiswa dan hasil perhitungan cukup mempermudah pemberian beasiswa dengan metode MABAC (Multi-Attributive Border Approximation Area Comparison)

Technical implementation details specify the use of PHP for programming and MySQL as the database management system, alongside the Waterfall development model. The system design adheres to Unified Modeling Language (UML) standards, incorporating Use Case, Activity, Class diagrams, and flowcharts, suggesting a structured development process. The resulting system promises significant improvements by efficiently displaying essential data such as student information, administrative details, various criteria and sub-criteria, and student assessment data, culminating in automated MABAC calculation results that simplify the scholarship awarding process. Overall, this research presents a practical and valuable contribution to improving administrative efficiency in higher education, particularly in the critical area of student financial aid. While the abstract clearly outlines the system's capabilities and its structured development, future work could perhaps focus on a quantitative evaluation of the system's impact, such as measuring the reduction in processing time or error rates post-implementation, to further validate its effectiveness. Nevertheless, the proposed MABAC-based DSS offers a robust framework for STIKES Keluarga Bunda Jambi to enhance the fairness, transparency, and speed of its scholarship allocation process.
