Abstract

Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain pre-eksperimental jenis One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMKN 7 Bone tahun ajaran 2024/2025, dengan sampel sebanyak 33 siswa yang dibagi ke dalam kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes menulis cerpen, lembar observasi, dan rubrik penilaian. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji-t menggunakan program SPSS 25 untuk mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan siswa sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan signifikan kemampuan menulis cerpen siswa setelah diterapkannya model PjBL. Nilai rata-rata posttest kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol. Uji-t membuktikan bahwa penerapan model PjBL efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menulis cerpen, khususnya pada aspek pengembangan ide, alur cerita, penokohan, serta penggunaan bahasa yang kreatif. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Project Based Learning efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran menulis cerpen di SMKN 7 Bone. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi alternatif bagi guru Bahasa Indonesia dalam menciptakan pembelajaran yang lebih inovatif, kontekstual, serta mendorong keterampilan menulis kreatif siswa.

This paper presents an investigation into the effectiveness of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model in enhancing short story writing skills among tenth-grade students at SMKN 7 Bone. Employing a quantitative pre-experimental approach, the study aimed to assess the impact of PjBL on students' creative writing abilities. The findings robustly indicate a significant improvement in students' short story writing capabilities subsequent to the PjBL intervention, suggesting its potential as an effective pedagogical strategy. This research offers a pertinent contribution to Indonesian language education, providing teachers with an alternative model for fostering innovative and contextual learning environments. While the study offers valuable insights, a crucial methodological inconsistency in the abstract requires clarification. The abstract states the use of a "One Group Pretest-Posttest Design" but then mentions the sample being "dibagi ke dalam kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol." These two statements are inherently contradictory, as a true one-group design, by definition, does not involve a separate control group for comparative analysis. Clarification on the actual design implemented is essential for accurate interpretation of the comparative effectiveness claims. Future research would benefit from a more rigorously designed quasi-experimental study to strengthen the causal inferences. Nevertheless, this paper provides a valuable preliminary exploration into the application of PjBL for developing creative writing skills, prompting further investigation into its broader applicability and long-term effects.
