This study tackles a highly pertinent and critical issue: the strengthening of civic literacy at the elementary school level, especially given the rapid pace of globalization and technological advancement. The stated aim to examine the implementation of civic literacy movements through a literature review is an appropriate method for synthesizing existing knowledge and identifying overarching strategies. The abstract effectively introduces the crucial role civic literacy plays in preparing young students to navigate complex modern challenges, setting a strong foundation for the importance of the research. The review effectively identifies several key pathways for enhancing civic literacy. These include the fundamental role of curriculum integration, the indispensable involvement of active teachers, and the establishment of school-based literacy programs. Crucially, the abstract also emphasizes the importance of broader community support and cross-sector collaboration, alongside pedagogical approaches like contextual learning and character value reinforcement. These findings collectively outline a comprehensive, multi-faceted approach, positioning civic literacy not just as an academic subject but as a holistic endeavor aimed at shaping students into critical, participatory, and character-driven citizens. While this literature review provides a valuable synthesis of existing knowledge and identifies robust strategies, the abstract, by its nature, does not delve into specific empirical evidence, case studies, or practical implementation challenges that might arise in diverse educational settings. Future research building on this comprehensive review could usefully focus on empirical investigations into the *effectiveness* of these identified strategies in practice, perhaps through longitudinal studies or comparative analyses across different contexts. Such empirical work would further solidify the recommendations and provide more actionable insights for policymakers and educators aiming to translate these crucial principles into tangible improvements in civic education.
