Abstract

Sistem kardiovaskular merupakan suatu sistem organ yang bertugas dalam hal pemindahan suatu zat yang ada pada tubuh kemudian diteruskan menuju ke sel-sel tubuh manusia. Penyakit kardiovaskular (PKV) merupakan sekumpulan gangguan atau penyakit yang disebabkan adanya gangguan pada organ jantung dan pembuluh darah. Salah satu penyakit pada sistem kardiovaskular yaitu hipertensi. Hipertensi merupakan penyakit karena adanya pengaruh peningkatan tekanan darah di atas normal secara menetap, yang dimana pada penyakit ini tekanan darah mengalami peningkatan akibat terbentuknya angiotensi II. Penyakit hipertensi disebabkan oleh faktor gen, obesitas, jenis kelamin, stress, dan pola kebiasaan hidup. Pengobatan hipertensi bisa dengan non farmakologis dan farmakologis. Dilakukan review artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengetauhi bagaimana patofisiologi dari penyakit sistem kardiovaskular salah satunya yaitu pada penyakit hipertensi.
