ANALISIS PEMAHAMAN FAKTA PADA TEKS LAPORAN TERHADAP PEMAKNAAN KARYA SASTRA

Introduction

Analisis pemahaman fakta pada teks laporan terhadap pemaknaan karya sastra. Penelitian ini menganalisis pengaruh pemahaman fakta teks laporan terhadap pemaknaan karya sastra siswa SMP, berkontribusi signifikan pada interpretasi puisi & berpikir kreatif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan pemahaman fakta yang diperoleh siswa melalui pembelajaran teks laporan dan mengidentifikasi pengaruhnya pemaknaan karya sastra. Pembelajaran teks laporan dan karya sastra diajarkan secara bertahap di kelas IX SMP Medan Mulia. Dengan menerapkan pendekatan campuran melalui metode penelitian eksplanatori maka hubungan antara pemahaman fakta terhadap pemaknaan karya sastra dapat diukur melalui pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia. Penelitian menggunakan systematic sampling berdasarkan nomor urut absensi ganjil siswa di IX-A dan IX-B, dan jumlah sampel penelitian menjadi 35 siswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman fakta siswa pada teks laporan berkontribusi dalam pembelajaran karya sastra. Siswa mampu menganalisis makna puisi secara konseptual dan hal ini berkaitan dengan kemampuan siswa memahami fakta pada teks laporan. Hasil tes menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara pemahaman teks laporan dengan pemaknaan puisi. Hal ini juga berdampak pada kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa yang ditunjukkan selama berdiskusi di kelas yakni hadirnya beragam perspektif siswa dalam memaknai puisi. Sehingga penelitian ini juga menunjukkan refleksi diri siswa melalui cara berpikir kreatifnya.

This study critically examines the often-overlooked connection between students' factual comprehension derived from report texts and their subsequent ability to interpret literary works. Focusing on Indonesian language learning among Grade IX junior high students at SMP Medan Mulia, the research addresses a significant pedagogical question: how foundational cognitive skills honed through analytical reading of factual texts might influence more abstract interpretive processes required for literary analysis. The premise that understanding factual information can contribute to a deeper appreciation and analysis of creative works is compelling and holds important implications for integrated language education curricula. The methodology employed a mixed-methods explanatory approach, utilizing systematic sampling to select 35 students. The findings convincingly demonstrate a significant positive relationship, indicating that students' factual understanding from report texts indeed contributes substantially to their capacity for literary interpretation, specifically in analyzing poetry conceptually. Beyond interpretive skills, the research also highlights a beneficial impact on students' creative thinking, evidenced by a richer diversity of perspectives during class discussions. This suggests that strengthening factual comprehension not only aids in direct interpretation but also fosters a broader cognitive flexibility essential for critical and creative engagement with complex texts. While the study provides robust evidence for the interconnectedness of these skills, future research could benefit from a more detailed description of the 'mixed-methods' components, particularly the specific instruments used to measure factual understanding and poetic interpretation. Expanding the study's scope to include a larger and more diverse sample of schools or regions would also enhance the generalizability of these valuable findings. Nevertheless, this paper makes a significant contribution to the literature by empirically validating the link between factual comprehension and literary analysis, offering crucial insights for educators aiming to cultivate comprehensive language and analytical skills in students.
