Analisis kadar air, bobot isi dan porositas tanah pada beberapa penggunaan lahan. Penelitian ini menganalisis kadar air, bobot isi, dan porositas tanah pada berbagai penggunaan lahan di DAS Ciliwung Hulu. Hutan tanaman menunjukkan kadar air tinggi dan tanah yang porous.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan kadar air, bobot isi dan porositas tanah pada penggunaan lahan tegalan/lading, kebun campuran, perkebunan teh, semak belukar dan hutan tanaman di DAS Ciliwung Hulu. Penelitian dimulai dari survei pendahuluan di lapangan untuk menentukan lokasi serta melakukan penentuan titik-titik pengamatan pada setiap penggunaan lahan. Pengambilan sampel tanah dilakukan untuk analisis kadar air, bobot isi dan porositas tanah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan lahan hutan tanaman merupakan penggunaan lahan yang baik dengan nilai kadar air tanah yang tinggi yaitu sebesar 85,88%, bobot isi tanah 0,59 g/cm3 dan porositas tanah 77,78% yang menunjukkan bahwa lahan hutan tanaman porous.
This manuscript presents a timely and relevant investigation into the impact of various land uses on key soil physical properties within the Upper Ciliwung Watershed. The study clearly articulates its objective: to determine and compare soil water content, bulk density, and porosity across different land management types, specifically rainfed agriculture/gardens, mixed gardens, tea plantations, bushland, and forest plantations. This comparative analysis is crucial for understanding how human activities and natural covers influence soil health and hydrological function in a significant catchment area. The methodology outlined involves a preliminary field survey to establish observation points, followed by soil sampling for laboratory analysis of the target parameters. The abstract effectively summarizes the primary finding, indicating that forest plantations ("hutan tanaman") exhibit superior soil characteristics, notably high water content (85.88%), low bulk density (0.59 g/cm³), and high porosity (77.78%). These results strongly suggest that forest plantations foster a porous soil structure conducive to better water infiltration and retention, contrasting with the implied conditions of other land uses. The study makes a valuable contribution by providing direct, quantitative data on the benefits of forest plantations for soil quality in the study region.
