Penelitian ini bertujuan: (1) Untuk mengetahui motivasi intrinsik berpengaruh secara parsial terhadap kinerja karyawan pada PT. BRI Cabang Barru, (2) Untuk mengetahui motivasi ekstrinsik berpengaruh secara parsial terhadap kinerja karyawan pada PT. BRI Cabang Barru, (3) Untuk mengetahui motivasi intrinsik dan motivasi ekstrinsik berpengaruh secara simultan terhadap kinerja karyawan pada PT. BRI Cabang Barru. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh karyawan PT. BRI Cabang Barru sebanyak 44 orang. Pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh anggota dari populasi 44 orang dengan jenis penelitian kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menyebarkan kuesioner. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linear berganda dengan menggunakan Statistical Produst Servive Solution (SPSS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Motivasi intrinsik secara parsial berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan pada PT. BRI Cabang Barru, (2) Motivasi ekstrinsik secara parsial berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan pada PT. BRI Cabang Barru, (3) Motivasi intrinsik dan motivasi ekstrinsik secara simultan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan pada PT. BRI Cabang Barru. This research aimed: (1) To know intrinsic motivation partially influence employee performance at PT. BRI Barru branch, (2) To know extrinsic motivation partially influence employee performance at PT. BRI Barru branch, (3) To know intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation simultaneously influence employee performance at PT. BRI Barru branch. The population of this research are all employees af PT. BRI Barru branch are 44 people. The sampling of this research are all of the population, namely 44 people with quantitative research. The data collection technique was carried out by distributing quesionnaires. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis using Statistical Product Servive Solution (SPSS). The results showed that: (1) Intrinsic motivation partially has a positive and significant influence on employee performance at PT. BRI Barru branch, (2) Ixtrinsic motivation partially has a positive and significant influence on employee performance at PT. BRI Barru branch, (3) Intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation simultaneously has a positive and significant influence on employee performance at PT. BRI Barru branch.
This study investigates the influence of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation on employee performance specifically within PT BRI Barru Branch. With clearly stated objectives, the research aims to determine the partial and simultaneous effects of these motivational factors on the performance of the branch's 44 employees. Employing a quantitative approach, data was collected via questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The findings consistently indicate that both intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation, individually and combined, have a positive and significant impact on employee performance. This research provides a localized confirmation of widely accepted principles regarding the importance of motivation in the workplace. A key strength of this study lies in its well-defined objectives and specific focus, which allowed for a targeted investigation within a particular organizational context. The decision to include all 44 employees (a census, rather than sampling) eliminates potential sampling error within the chosen population, ensuring comprehensive data collection from the target group. The application of multiple linear regression is an appropriate statistical method for testing the hypothesized relationships. However, the study's highly localized scope, confined to a single branch with a small population, significantly limits the generalizability of its findings to other organizations or even other branches of PT BRI. The abstract, while outlining the methodology, lacks detail on the specific measures or scales used for motivation and performance, making it difficult to assess the robustness and validity of the data collection instruments. Furthermore, the absence of an explicit theoretical framework in the abstract diminishes the study's foundational context. The practical implications for PT BRI Barru Branch are clear: management should prioritize strategies that cultivate both intrinsic drive (e.g., through meaningful work, autonomy, recognition) and extrinsic incentives (e.g., competitive compensation, benefits, promotion opportunities) to enhance employee performance. For future research, it would be beneficial to expand the scope to include a larger, more diverse sample across multiple branches or different banking institutions to improve generalizability. Incorporating qualitative methods could provide richer, nuanced insights into the underlying mechanisms through which motivation translates into performance. Additionally, exploring potential mediating or moderating variables, such as leadership styles or organizational culture, could further illuminate the complex relationship between motivation and employee output.
