Introduction

Teljesítmény és láthatóság . A női kutatók teljesítménye és láthatósága kulcs szakmai előmenetelükhöz. Az MTA intézkedéseivel segíti karrierútjukat PhD-tól az akadémikusválasztásig.

Abstract

A tanulmány a teljesítményt és a láthatóságot jelöli meg a női kutatók szakmai előmenetelének két legfontosabb feltételeként, és bemutatja, hogy a Magyar Tudományos Akadémia milyen intézkedéseket vezetett be e két kívánalom teljesítésének elősegítése és fokozása érdekében. Az MTA Nők a kutatói életpályán Elnöki bizottság 2017 óta fáradozik a nők kutatási feltételeinek javításán, a tudományos teljesítmény fokozásán és egyúttal megjelenítésén, a PhD-fokozat megszerzésétől az akadémikusválasztásig. E teljesítményösztönző intézkedések mellett a Bizottság több módon járult hozzá a női kutatók láthatóságának növeléséhez is: számos magyar és angol nyelvű kiadványban mutatta be a múlt női tudósainak modellként szolgáló életpályáját, konferenciákat szervezett és kutatásokat támogatott, amelyek feltárták a női kutatók helyenként tapasztalható publikációs lemaradásának okait és a hátrányok leküzdésének lehetőségeit.

This study makes a valuable contribution by documenting systematic institutional efforts to address gender inequality in research careers within Hungary. It presents a useful case study for other academic bodies grappling with similar challenges, offering concrete examples of initiatives designed to support female researchers. While the abstract primarily describes the measures put in place, the paper implicitly suggests a positive trajectory towards a more equitable research environment. Future research stemming from this work could explore the measurable impact and effectiveness of these various initiatives, providing empirical data on their success in truly fostering performance and visibility for women in science.
