Semarang business incubator and commercial space center with sustainable architecture design. Semarang Business Incubator & Commercial Space Center, with sustainable architecture, fosters MSME growth. Addresses the city's economic, social, and environmental problems.
Increasingly, Semarang City is experiencing significant MSME business growth. Judging from the economic, social, and environmental problems in this city, everyone is competing in advancing their region. With MSMEs, there are various entities that benefit, such as business owners and other people. These benefits can be in the form of financial benefits that can be a solution to problems in Semarang City, namely poverty and unemployment. The more income-generating entities, the faster economic problems are resolved. Therefore, a forum is needed that can be a place for business people, both old and new business people, to improve their therapy in business. The architectural planning and design program carried by the author is the design of "Semarang Business Incubator and Commercial Space Center with Sustainable Architecture Design Approach". Sustainable Architecture was chosen because in planning a building must have the concept of sustainability by managing waste and utilizing resources optimally. In addition, the use of environmentally friendly materials can also keep the ecosystem around the building maintained and unpolluted. Therefore, this building is expected to be the spearhead in overcoming three main problems in Semarang City, namely, economic problems, social problems, and environmental problems which if not immediately addressed will become a boomerang for the government and citizens of Semarang City.
This abstract introduces a compelling proposal for a "Semarang Business Incubator and Commercial Space Center," responding to the significant growth of MSMEs in Semarang City. The authors effectively frame the initiative as a crucial intervention addressing pressing economic (poverty, unemployment), social, and environmental challenges faced by the region. The core premise is that by providing a dedicated forum for both nascent and established entrepreneurs, the center will foster income-generating activities and accelerate the resolution of these multifaceted urban problems. A key distinguishing feature of this proposed center is its commitment to a "Sustainable Architecture Design Approach." The abstract articulates a clear rationale for this choice, emphasizing the importance of waste management, optimal resource utilization, and the use of environmentally friendly materials to maintain the surrounding ecosystem. This integration of sustainable principles is presented not merely as an aesthetic or functional choice, but as integral to the building's broader mission, positioning it as a "spearhead" in tackling the city's complex problems. While the overall vision is commendable and timely, the abstract could benefit from further specificity, particularly regarding the architectural methodology and the direct mechanisms through which the sustainable design will uniquely address all three identified problem areas beyond general environmental benefits. For instance, elaboration on specific sustainable features, their innovative application in an incubator context, or how the architectural design itself fosters economic and social solutions would strengthen the argument. Additionally, clarifying the project's unique architectural contribution and perhaps refining the phrase "improve their therapy in business" would enhance clarity for an academic audience.
