Rohis movement at two senior high schools of yogyakarta in actualizing the hijrah text of qur'an verses in islamic education book. Explore how the Rohis Movement in Yogyakarta high schools actualizes Qur'anic hijrah texts from Islamic education, interpreting them for daily life and school community influence.
This research aimed to explore the Islamic Spiritual Movement (Rohis) in two State Senior High Schools (SMA) in Yogyakarta, focusing on how they actualize the Qur'anic texts found in Islamic Education (PAI) books and their collections. Employing a qualitative case study approach, the researchers collected data through observation, interviews, and documentation. For data analysis, they applied data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The findings reveal that the Rohis administrators' understanding aligns with Hermeneutical Theory, which emphasizes the interpretation of texts within their contexts. Specifically, Rohis administrators actively engage with Qur'anic verses as guiding principles for daily life. They attempt to comprehend both the contemporary context and the historical significance of Islam's glory during the era of the Caliphate. Furthermore, they contextualize these teachings in their personal lives and extend their understanding to influence the public sphere, including their school communities. This approach highlights the dynamic and practical application of religious texts in shaping spiritual and social life.
This paper investigates the Islamic Spiritual Movement (Rohis) within two senior high schools in Yogyakarta, focusing on how these student groups actualize Qur'anic *hijrah* texts as presented in their Islamic Education (PAI) curriculum and other collections. Employing a qualitative case study methodology, the researchers gathered data through observation, interviews, and documentation, providing an in-depth exploration of student understanding and application. The study compellingly reveals that Rohis administrators interpret these religious texts through a hermeneutical framework, connecting historical Islamic glory with contemporary contexts to guide their daily lives and influence their school communities. This research offers valuable insights into the practical application of religious teachings within an educational setting. A significant strength of this research lies in its exploration of the dynamic interplay between religious text, student interpretation, and social action. By framing the Rohis administrators' understanding within Hermeneutical Theory, the study provides a robust theoretical lens for analyzing the contextualization of religious teachings. The findings effectively demonstrate how students actively engage with sacred texts, not merely as static doctrine, but as living principles that shape personal conduct and extend to influence the broader public sphere of their schools. This practical application of *hijrah* texts, bridging historical significance with contemporary relevance, contributes meaningfully to our understanding of youth religiosity and its role in fostering spiritual and social development within educational institutions. While providing a compelling account, the abstract prompts further questions regarding the specific nature of the "hijrah text" and the particular Qur'anic verses referenced, the detailed interpretation of which could enrich the findings. A deeper exploration of potential variations or commonalities in interpretation and actualization between the two high schools would also enhance the comparative insights. Future research could benefit from examining the perspectives of non-Rohis students or school administrators to provide a broader ecological view of the movement's influence. Furthermore, investigating the long-term effects of this *hijrah* actualization on students' post-high school lives would be a valuable extension to this important work.
