Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this study is to (1) describe the background of the Tabuk War (2) describe the process of the Tabuk War, (3) describe the end and wisdom of the Tabuk War. The results of the study show that (1) The background of the Tabuk War was the continuation of the Mu'tah war, which was caused by the enemy's actions in killing the messenger of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, and the event of the conquest of the city of Mecca made the entire Arabian peninsula under the leadership of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, the Tabuk War took place in the month of Rajab 630 AD / 9 H in Tabuk and fought against the forces of the Eastern Roman Empire (2) History records that in the Tabuk War there was no physical war at all, the Eastern Romans slowly withdrew from the Muslim troops because of fear of seeing the very thorough preparations of the Muslim troops (3) As for the end of the Tabuk War, the Prophet Muhammad SAW. with the group returned to Medina with victory and benefits, namely the spread of Islam had spread evenly throughout the Arabian peninsula, and Islam was safe from the danger of sudden attacks, and the very valuable wisdom from this event was that it trained the patience, sincerity, physical strength of the Muslim troops during the journey to Tabuk, further strengthened the strength and expanded the power of the Muslim community, and succeeded in destroying the authority and power of the Eastern Roman troops as the largest empire at that time. Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk (1 )menguraikan latar belakang terjadinya Perang Tabuk (2) menguraikan proses berjalanannya Perang Tabuk, (3) menguraikan akhir dan hikmah Perang Tabuk. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa (1) Latar belakang terjadinya Perang Tabuk yaitu kelanjutan dari perang Mu’tah, yang disebabkan tindakan musuh yang membunuh utusan Rasulullah saw., dan adanya peristiwa penaklukan kota Mekah membuat seluruh semenanjung Arabia berada di bawah kepemimpinan Rasulullah saw., Perang Tabuk terjadi pada bulan Rajab 630 M/ 9 H di Tabuk dan berperang melawan kekuatan Romawi Timur (2) Sejarah mencatat bahwa dalam Perang Tabuk sama sekali tidak terjadi peperangan secara fisik, pihak Romawi Timur perlahan mundur dari pasukan Muslimin karena adanya rasa takut melihat persiapan yang sangat matang dari pasukan Muslimin (3) Adapun akhir dari Perang Tabuk yaitu Rasulullah saw. bersama rombongan kembali ke Madinah dengan memperoleh kemenangan dan keuntungan yaitu penyebaran Islam telah merata ke seluruh kawasan semenanjung Arabia, dan Islam aman dari bahaya serangan tiba-tiba, dan hikmah yang sangat berharga dari peristiwa ini yaitu melatih kesabaran, keikhlasan, kekuatan fisik para pasukan Muslimin pada saat perjalanan ke Tabuk, semakin memperkuat kekuatan dan memperluas kekuatan umat Islam, dan berhasil meruntuhkan wibawa dan kekuatan pasukan Romawi Timur sebagai imperium terbesar pada saat itu.
