Introduction

Abstract

Las plataformas en línea han transformado por completo la economía digital. Más allá de su función económica, son también un factor de transformación. En este proceso, el desarrollo de motores de búsqueda y asistentes virtuales con IA, en particular, ha revolucionado el modo en que accedemos al conocimiento y a la información. La mayoría de los ciudadanos de la Unión, consciente o inconscientemente, la utiliza ahora casi a diario y, sin embargo, la ausencia de una regulación adecuada de la IA entraña riesgos que pueden dar lugar a abusos y ser utilizada como vehículo para difundir contenidos ilícitos, vender bienes o servicios ilegales o difundir informaciones falsas. En el presente trabajo propondremos cómo sujetar su empleo a responsabilidad por daños desde la perspectiva de los nuevos reglamentos de la Unión aplicables a los servicios y a los mercados digitales.
