Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui jumlah cadangan pada daerah penelitian, kemampuan produksi alat mekanis dan membuat desain pit jangka pendek. Evaluasi cadangan dan desain pit merupakan tahapan penting sebelum melakukan suatu penambangan. Pembuatan desain pit untuk mengetahui bentuk geometri penambangan atau lubang bukaan tambang untuk memperoleh cadangan batubara. Desain pit jangka pendek memberikan rencana penambangan secara bertahap sampai pada batas akhir penambangan. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada PT. Karunia Armada Indonesia Kecamatan Tabang Kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara Provinsi Kalimantan Timur. Penelitian dilakukan dengan memperhitungkan kemampuan alat dalam berproduksi untuk memcapai target yang di inginkan yang akan degunakan sebagai acuan dalam perencanaan (Desain) Pit untuk jangka pendek yaitu selama 1 (satu) bulan yakni pada bulan september 2023. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh jumlah cadangan batubara yang terdapat pada Pit Panel II KAI yaitu sebanyak 11.430.262 ton dengan overbarden sebanyak 41.952.366 BCM. Kemampuan Produktivitas alat muat mencapai 2.001.907 BCM/Bulan dan alat angkut 1.531.883 BCM/Bulan. Desain untuk jangka pendek yang dirancang menggunakan Sofware Minescape 5.7 dengan slope 60°, tinggi bench 10 meter dan offset (berm) 10 meter
