Abstract

This study aims to determine the business opportunities of PE goat milk in Kertarahrja Hamlet, Genggelang Village, Gangga District, North Lombok and to identify the obstacles or barriers of the community in developing PE goat milk business in Kertaraharja Hamlet. Data analysis used in this study is quantitative and descriptive analysis methods. The results of the study indicate that the prospects of PE goat milk business are relatively good as seen from the R/C Ratio percentage of 1.4 which indicates that the business is feasible to continue. The results of the SWOT analysis show that internal factors such as strengths (S) have a score of 4,43 and weaknesses (W) 4,30 which makes the difference between the two only 0.13 while external factors such as opportunities (O) with a score of 4,34 and threats (T) 3,91 make the difference only 0.43. From these results, it shows that the position of the PE goat milk business in the SWOT diagram is in quadrant I SO (Strength-Opportunity) which means that the prospects of the PE goat milk business in the Kertaraharja Hamlet Livestock Group have strengths and opportunities that can be utilized. So the sustainability of this milk business must continue because it can be profitable.
