This paper, titled "Perluasan Peluang Usaha Melalui Inovasi Fish Stick Berbahan Dasar Duri Ikan di Pulau Nasi, Aceh," presents a highly relevant and practical community empowerment program. It effectively addresses the critical issue of underutilized marine resources and low economic value derived from traditional fishing practices in Pulau Nasi, where valuable fish by-products often go to waste. The innovative approach of transforming fish bones into high-value fish sticks is commendable, demonstrating a creative solution to waste reduction while simultaneously fostering local economic growth. The initiative's focus on sustainable local economic development through skill enhancement aligns well with current needs for community-based solutions to resource management challenges. The methodology employed is comprehensive and well-structured, starting with an initial analysis of fishery potential and processing needs. This is followed by practical processing training, marketing strategy socialization, cost of goods sold (HPP) calculation training, logo creation workshops, and culminating in sales trials and customer satisfaction surveys. This holistic approach ensures that participants gain not only technical processing skills but also crucial business acumen necessary for sustainable entrepreneurship. The reported outcomes, including the community's ability to create a high-value product and the overwhelmingly positive customer satisfaction survey results across various product attributes, underscore the program's immediate success and the product's strong market acceptance within the local community. The project holds significant promise for promoting sustainable livelihoods and resource management in coastal communities, effectively turning waste into a valuable resource. By transforming fish by-products into a marketable product, it contributes to both economic upliftment and environmental sustainability, laying a strong foundation for addressing the "multidisciplinary problems" mentioned in the abstract. While the abstract highlights immediate positive feedback and market fit, future studies could delve deeper into the long-term economic sustainability, scalability of production for broader markets, and a more detailed assessment of the project's broader environmental and social impacts. Nevertheless, this paper offers a compelling example of how localized innovation and empowerment can drive meaningful socio-economic change, making a valuable contribution to the field of community development and sustainable resource utilization.
