Introduction

Peran serta akademisi dalam mensukseskan program kerja lembaga pemberdayaan masyarakat kelurahan (lpmk). Akademisi USM memberdayakan masyarakat melalui edukasi fungsi LPMK & pelatihan usaha mandiri untuk kesejahteraan. Program ini sukses mendukung kinerja lembaga di tingkat kelurahan.

Abstract

Mengacu pada Keputusan Menteri Dalam Negeri Nomor 159 Tahun 2004 tentang Pedoman Organisasi Kelurahan, kelurahan terdiri dari lurah, sekretaris kelurahan dan seksi sebanyak-banyaknya empat seksi, serta jabatan fungsional.Berdasarkan Keputusan tersebut, salah satu seksinya adalah lembaga pemberdayaan masyarakat kelurahan (LPMK). Tim PKM Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Semarang berminat guna membantu pemerintah dalam hal ini adalah LPMK Kelurahan melalui edukasi kepada masyarakat mengenai tugas dan fungsi LPMK pada tatanan pemerintah terkecil di tingkat desa dan upaya peningkatan kesejahteraan masyarakat melalui pilihan usaha mandiri yang dapat dilakukan sebagai bentuk hasil kinerja LPMK sesuai dengan yang diharapkan, khususnya bagi warga kelurahan Tlogosari Kulon. Kegiatan PKM ini memiliki luaran berupa publikasi media massa (https://jateng.tribunnews.com/2023/11/02/sukseskan-program-kerja-lpmk-dosen-fakultas-ekonomi-usm-berikan-penyuluhan), publikasi jurnal pengabdian TEMATIK dan HKI berupa video yang sudah diupload di youtube (https://youtu.be/l5Bv_7x5ifU).

This paper addresses a highly relevant and practical topic concerning the involvement of academics in supporting the programs of the Kelurahan Community Empowerment Institution (LPMK). Drawing upon the Minister of Home Affairs Decree No. 159 of 2004, the initiative focuses on strengthening the smallest governmental unit at the village level. The core objective, as outlined, is to assist local government, specifically the LPMK of Tlogosari Kulon, by educating the community about the institution's crucial roles and functions, and by fostering community welfare through promoting self-reliant business opportunities. The methodology employed is framed as a Community Service (PKM) activity, spearheaded by the Faculty of Economics at Universitas Semarang. This practical approach involved direct engagement with the community to provide education on LPMK's duties and to identify and encourage independent business ventures as a tangible outcome of LPMK's desired performance. The initiative specifically targeted the residents of Tlogosari Kulon, ensuring a localized and context-specific intervention. The project's outputs demonstrate a strong commitment to dissemination, including media publication via Tribunnews, a publication in the TEMATIK community service journal, and the creation of an HKI (Intellectual Property Rights) video uploaded to YouTube, indicating a multi-faceted approach to sharing knowledge and results. Overall, this initiative represents a valuable contribution to community empowerment, showcasing the direct positive impact academics can have when engaging with local governance structures. Its strengths lie in its clear alignment with national regulations, its direct application of knowledge for community benefit, and its diverse dissemination strategy. For future scholarly publications, it would be beneficial to elaborate further on the specific theoretical framework guiding the intervention, the challenges encountered during implementation, and a more robust evaluation of the program's actual impact on community welfare and the operational effectiveness of LPMK beyond the initial outputs. Such additions would enhance the academic rigor and provide deeper insights for other institutions aiming to replicate or adapt similar community service models.
